SED-2120-T

The SED-2120-T has all the features of the SED-2120 video server as well as aside -30 to +70 operating temperature making it ideal for use in roadside trackside cabinets or any other outdoor application.

The SED-2120 represents the best value video server / video encoder available in the market today. Achieveing D1 resolution at full NTSC / PAL frame rates within 3Mbps (selectable) bandwidth, the 2120 provides very high performance with a low network overhead. Motion detection, QoS and an embedded digital time code also differentiate this product from competing models.

The LAN and WAN ports allow connections to a local network for high-bandwidth video storage at the same time as streaming video across a WAN connection for remote viewing. The video bandwidth can be individually set to cater for slower WAN connections.

TheTwo Ethernet ports can also used to dual attach theED-2120 to a network, providing a redundant connection. The link is automatically managed by the SED-2120 and presents only a single IP address to other devices on the network. This means that the unit will operate as a redundant video server, ideal for mission critical systems.

A video output feature allows analogue video streams to be 'tapped' into, with a replica of the analogue signal being sent to a secondary viewing point or a networked video recorder. When used in conjunction with the SED-3300 video decoder / video transcoder, point to point video links can be established across an IP network. This can save the cost of installing new co-ax by using existing Cat5(e) infrastructure cabling or by using wireless bridge technology to achieve seamless wireless video links.

Amplicon's Industrial Ethernet switches are often used to create resilient or fault-tolerant networks for new automation systems. Digital I/O, analogue I/O, RS232, RS485 can all be sent across an IP network using Amplicon's innovative gateway products. If video also needs to be sent, be sure to install the SED-2120 video server.

Extensive software ships with the ACTi video servers as standard. Below is a synopsis of the various software packages and their specific capabilities.
