Network video cameras and video network server, all is the core equipment of monitoring system, when we are network monitor project design, what is the choice, or video camera, network server?

First, we should understand the network video camera and server difference:
Network video camera is to integrate into the camera and server, on line can use directly. But the network video camera, style is very limited, far less selective simulated camera.
Video server itself without camera, but it is the flexibility, can pick any analog camera. Many video server can meet the road multiple cameras.
We must consider when the choice, function and effect, also want to consider convenience, consider the cost.
Case 1, if there are multiple monitoring, and some decentralizing position get closer, can consider to use multiple video server + simulate the total cost of the camera, with more than lower network camera, but must pay attention to the road of video server, more than single video server resolution and network camera slightly lower, if the user is not high, generally acceptable.
Case 2, if on camera design without special requirement, network video camera have you need, then both the design can directly use the corresponding design of network video camera, video server + simulation.
3 and if the situation of camera design has special requirements, such as variable times to seek, infrared cameras, riot camera low illumination, it must use such video server + simulate the camera.
Note: in a monitoring system, the same series of network video camera and server, can mix. Different series, different brands of network video camera and server, generally not mix.
